KALAMAZOO, Mich. - Calvin took fifth at an MIAA Jamboree hosted by Kalamazoo on Saturday but the Knights remain in the top four in the overall league standings.
The Knights posted a fifth place team score of 317 Monday at the Kalamazoo Country Club.
Hope took first place on Monday with a team score of 299 with Kalamazoo second with 300.
Calvin finished three strokes behind fourth place Alma and two strokes ahead of sixth place Adrian.
In the overall team standings, Calvin holds an eight-stroke lead over fifth place Adrian and is 11 strokes behind third place Kalamazoo.
The upcoming 36-hole MIAA Fall Tournament will be added on to the cumulative overall team standings that thus far have four league rounds completed.
In Monday's competition, junior Sam Holland (Novi, Mich./Detroit Catholic Central HS had a round of 77 to finish tied for 15th place individually.
Junior Joshua Lansky (Park City, Utah/Park City HS) had a 78 to tie for 20th individually. Freshman Jacob Siebenga (Surrey, B.C.) had a 79. Sophomore Kasen Anderson (Stillwater, Mn./St. Croix Preparatory HS) and senior Austin Umlauf (Lowell, Ind./Hanover Central HS) both had rounds of 83.
Competing individually, freshman Josh Bouma (Kalamazoo, Mich./Kalamazoo Christian HS) had an 86.
This weekend's MIAA Fall Tournament will take place at the Forest Akers Golf Course on the campus of Michigan State University.
