Calvin Men's Golf Takes Fifth at MIAA Jamboree - Remains Third in Overall MIAA League Standings

ADRIAN, Mich. - Calvin took fifth at an MIAA Jamboree hosted by Adrian Saturday at the Lenawee Country Club. Calvin posted a team score of 307 strokes.

The Knights remain in third place in the overall MIAA fall standings, holding a six-stroke lead over fourth place Adrian and Kalamazoo heading into a Monday MIAA Jamboree at Kalamazoo.

Trine took first place with a team score of 286 followed by Hope at 297 while host Adrian carded a team score of 301. Kalamazoo was fourth at 302 with Calvin five strokes back of the Hornets

Junior Sam Holland (Novi, Mich./Detroit Catholic Central HS) led Calvin with a round of 73 that was good for a tie for fifth place individually.

Junior Joshua Lansky (Park City, UT/Park City HS) had a strong day, carding a round of 75 that put him in a tie for eighth place on Saturday.

Senior Austin Umlauf (Lowell, Ind./Hanover Central HS) had a 79 while sophomore Kasen Anderson (Stillwater, Mn./St. Croix Preparatory HS) had an 81. Freshman Jacob Siebenga (Surrey, B.C.) came up with a round of 83.

Calvin returns to action Monday at 1 p.m. at an MIAA Jamboree hosted by Kalamazoo at the Kalamazoo Country Club.
