Why did you chose to come to Calvin: I liked the small class size and the quality of the professor-student relationship. I like the fact that there's many ways to be involved on campus, and there's so many things to do on the weekends that it's hard to go home.

Major: mechanical engineering

Favorite Bible Verse: Hard question, psalm 139 I like. I also really like question and answer one of the hiedelburg catechism

Favorite thing about the team: The girls! Of course I like playing tennis but being a part of a team is amazing.

Favorite professional tennis player: I would say Serena Williams because she shows how powerful and strong yet beautiful women can be.

Favorite spot campus: My favorite spot on campus is the dining hall, not because of the food though. I like the dining hall because it represents a break in your day away from class and homework and a part you can catch up with friends. I met a lot of my close friends at the dining hall when there were too few tables and we were forced to sit by strangers. It also gives you a chance to see people you might not run into in class.

Favorite food: This is hard because all food is wonderful. I'm a sucker for pretty much any kind of pizza and I really enjoy a good soup.

Favorite music: I listened to a variety of different music. Recently, I've liked Jon Bellion. My favorite song is Sugar by maroon five, because it will make you want to dance. The best kinds of music have lyrics that you can relate too, and sometimes they aren't always happy.

Favorite movie: This is way too hard to answer. Some favorites are: The Incredibles, The Man from U.N.C.L.E., Skyfall and The Great Gatsby

High School: First team All-State and state champion at third singles
