Fast Friday For Women’s Swimming at NCAA Championships

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Calvin women's swimming & diving team swam one race at the NCAA Division III Women's Swimming & Diving Championships on Friday evening. The Knights are currently in 11th place with 54.5 points.

"I am proud of this team for continuing to step into the ring each day," said head coach Dan Gelderloos. "We are accumulating more scoring swims than last year and we are close to having everyone score. I know we will get up tomorrow morning and sprint to the finish."

The Knights claimed All-America honors in the 800-yard freestyle relay on Friday. The team of senior Abby Van Harn (Grand Rapids, Mich./Grand Rapids Christian), sophomore Libby Engle (Troy, Mich./Troy), junior Anna Serino (Pinckney, Mich./Pinckney) and junior Madelyn Smith (Allegan, Mich./Allegan) finished in eighth place at 7:30.23.
