Calvin Women's Soccer Receives United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award
For the third time in the last four years, the Calvin women's soccer team has received the United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award.

To qualify for the award, the team must have a minimum grade point average of 3.0 or higher for the entire academic year.
The Calvin women's soccer team recorded a team grade point average of 3.45 for the 2016-17 academic year.
Under the direction of head coach Mark Recker, Calvin's 2016 squad finished 11-9-1 overall and reached the MIAA Tournament with a fourth place league record of 10-5-1.

"I am very pleased to see our team recognized with this award," said Recker. "We have high goals for our academics as well as our performance on the soccer pitch. We have very hard-working young women in our program and I am proud of them for achieving this accomplishment."

The Calvin women's soccer team is one of 531 (women's) teams that were recognized with the award across the NCAA Division I, II and III and NAIA levels.
