The Calvin women’s soccer team landed three All-MIAA selections on Thursday afternoon. The Knights had two All-MIAA First Team selections in Camie Rietberg and Kali Mouw. Abby Koops was named to the All-MIAA Second Team.
The Calvin women’s soccer regular season ended on a cold Monday afternoon at Olivet. The Comets walked away from the rain and snow with a 2-1 victory. The Knights now open the postseason on Thursday at Hope in the MIAA Tournament.
The Calvin women’s soccer team hosted Olivet College on Saturday evening in the first game of the Knights’ Homecoming Weekend. In a hard-fought conference battle, the Knights fell to the Comets by a score of 2-1.
The Calvin women’s soccer team stayed perfect at Saint Mary’s on Monday evening with a 2-0 shutout. The victory sends the Knights to 5-0-0 on the year and 2-0-0 in the MIAA. The Belles fall to 1-4-0 and 1-3-0 in the MIAA.
The Calvin women’s soccer team hosted Heidelberg in a battle of undefeated teams on Saturday. The Knights remained perfect on the year with a 3-1 on Saturday afternoon. The Maroon and Gold are now 4-0-0 on the year and Heidelberg falls to 3-1-0. The 4-0-0 start is the best start for the Knights since 2009, when they started the year with a 6-0-0 record.
The Calvin women’s soccer team posted a perfect 2-0 record at the MSOE Invitational. The Knights completed the weekend with a 2-1 victory over MSOE in Saturday. The Maroon and Gold enter MIAA play with a 2-0-0 record. This is the first time since 2013 that the Knights have opened the season with two-straight victories.
