Women’s Lacrosse Falls to Williams

ENGLEWOOD, Fla. – The women's lacrosse team opened the spring break portion of the schedule with a 16-2 loss to the Ephs on Williams.

The Knights move to 1-3 on the year.

Junior Lauryn Slachter (Grand Rapids, Mich./Grand Rapids Christian) scored both Calvin goals on Monday, with the second being scored on a free-position shot.

Slachter also led the Knights with two shots.

Sophomore Emma Verrett (Beaver, Pa./Beaver County Christian) finished with a team-high three caused turnovers and two ground balls.

Freshman Meghan Economou (Hartland, Mich./Hartland) and junior Ellis Chalfant (St. Louis, Mo./Mary Institute and St. Louis Country Day School) both recorded four saves in the loss.

Calvin looks to bounce back on Wednesday against Worcester State.
