  • Women’s Lacrosse Posts Perfect MIAA Record
    April 25, 2018
    For the second-straight year, the Calvin women’s lacrosse team has posted a perfect 8-0 record in MIAA play. The Knights closed the MIAA regular season with a 16-7 victory at Trine. Calvin improves to 10-5 on the season and Trine falls to 5-10 and 3-4 in MIAA action. Trine is still alive in the MIAA race and will play Hope for the final spot in the tournament.
  • Kelly Pepper Named MIAA Offensive Player of the Week

    Kelly Pepper was named the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) women's lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week on Monday for games through April 22. Pepper helped the Knights win two MIAA games over Hope and Saint Mary’s.
  • Women’s Lacrosse Claims Second-Straight MIAA Title

    The Calvin women’s lacrosse became the first team since 2013 to repeat as MIAA champions in women’s lacrosse. The Knights secured at least a share of the title with a thrilling 16-15 overtime victory at Saint Mary’s. The 16-15 ringing of the Belles propels Calvin to 9-5 and 7-0 in the MIAA. Saint Mary’s falls to 10-4 and 5-1 in MIAA play.
  • Women’s Lacrosse Downs Flying Dutch on Senior Day

    The rivalry once again swayed in favor of the Calvin women’s lacrosse team on Thursday evening. The Knights grounded the Flying Dutch 12-10 to improve to 8-5 and 5-0 in MIAA play. The loss sends Hope to 6-5 and 4-2 in MIAA play. The Maroon and Gold have now won the last eight meetings in the rivalry and lead the all-time series, 9-1.
  • Women’s Lacrosse Stings Kalamazoo

    The Calvin women’s lacrosse team remained perfect in MIAA in less than perfect conditions on Saturday. The Knights defeated Kalamazoo on a cold, rainy and windy afternoon, 13-6. The Knights improve to 5-0 in the MIAA and 7-5 overall. Kalamazoo falls to 4-7 and to 1-3 in MIAA action.
  • Women's Lacrosse Posts a Record-Breaking Win Over Olivet

    The Calvin women’s lacrosse team picked up a decisive 28-0 victory against Olivet College on Wednesday night at Zuidema Field. The Knights outshot the Comets 44-0, while holding Olivet to 0-16 on clear attempts in the win.

  • Knights Beat Britons in First-Place Battle

    The Calvin women’s lacrosse team and the Britons of Albion College came into Saturday tied for first place in the MIAA standings. The two teams have combined to win the last three MIAA titles, with Calvin winning in 2017 and 2015. The Knights remained perfect in MIAA play on Saturday with a 14-10 victory over the visitors from Albion. The win pushes the Knights to 5-5 on the year and keeps Calvin in first place with Hope and Saint Mary’s at 3-0. With the loss, Albion falls to 6-4 and 2-1 in the MIAA. The Knights have now won 17-straight MIAA games.

    The Calvin women’s lacrosse team opened the 2018 season with a hard-fought loss at Kenyon on Saturday afternoon. After trailing by six goals, the Knights cut the deficit to 16-17, but Kenyon came out on to 19-16. Kenyon improves to 2-2 with the win.

Coming off two-straight trips to the NCAA Division III Tournament Second Round, the Knights look to make a splash in 2018. The Knights recorded a 12-6 record in 2017 and posted a perfect 8-0 record in MIAA action. The Maroon and Gold notched victories over Albion and Hope in the MIAA Tournament to earn the automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
