GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association named Emily Cefaratti the MIAA Offensive Player of the Week in women's lacrosse for games through April 16. This is the fourth time in her career and second time this season that Cefaratti has earned MIAA Offensive Player of the Week honors at Calvin.
"Emily is working hard to continue to develop her game," said Calvin head coach Blake Boehm. "Even though this is her senior year, I am still seeing growth and development. She is very deserving of this honor."
A senior from Hinsdale, Illinois, Cefaratti scored nine goals last week in three MIAA games. She also picked up six ground balls and three draw controls.
On Tuesday, Cefaratti tallied four goals and three assists at Saint Mary's in an 11-9 victory. She also recorded five ground balls, two draw controls, and caused three turnovers.
Against Olivet, Cefaratti scored three goals and had one draw control in the 27-0 victory.
Cefaratti finished the week with two goals and four assists in a 19-0 victory against Alma. She caused one turnover and had one ground ball.
Cefaratti and the Knights return to action on Tuesday against Kalamazoo.
