Women’s Golf Starts 2016 Season

BRISTOL, Wis. – The Calvin women's golf team started the 2016 season on Friday afternoon at the Shootout on the Border. The Knights sit in 10th place after the first day at 370 strokes. UW-Whitewater leads at 316.

Sophomore Nicole VanderYacht (Kentwood, Mich. / South Christian) had the lowest round for Calvin on Friday with a round of 87, to stand in 25th place.

Sophomore Grace Bolt (Grand Rapids, Mich. / Grand Rapids Christian) is in 42nd place at 91 strokes.

Senior Amira Bousaab (Grand Rapids, Mich. / Northpointe Christian) shot a round of 94 to head to the club house in 49th place.

Junior Emilee McCusker (Hayward, Wis. / Hayward) finished with a Friday round of 98.

Junior Gen Best (Brighton, Mich. / Brighton) tallied a round of 101.

The Knights finish the tournament on Saturday morning.
