Calvin Women's Basketball Picked to Finish Fourth in MIAA Preseason Coaches' Poll

The Calvin women's basketball team is set to kick off its 2018-19 campaign. The Knights will face Finlandia University on Friday followed by a Saturday contest against Concordia-Moorhead.

In the MIAA preseason coaches' poll released earlier today, the Knights were picked to finish fourth. Hope was the unanimous preseason pick to win the league with eight first place votes followed by Trine in second. Albion was picked third followed by Calvin.

Led by third-year head coach Chuck Winkelman, the Knights are coming off a 16-10 campaign from a year ago. The Knights are led by seniors Sarah Cassel, Rachel Warners and Becca Richards. The Knights feature just six returning lettewinners and feature seven freshmen on the 2018-19 roster.
