Calvin Men's Cross Country Reserves Compete at MSU Spartan Invitational
EAST LANSING, Mich. - Calvin's reserve men's cross country squad competed at the MSU Spartan Invitational on the campus of Michigan State University Friday afternoon.

The Knights placed second amongst Division III schools with 50 points.

Matt Boelens (Bolton, Mass./Nashoba Regional HS) was Calvin's top individual finisher with a time of 27:25. Junior Hendrik VerMeulen (Bright's Grove, Ont./St. Christopher HS) was close behind in 27:25.
Junior Nathan Brookhouse (Whitinsville, Mass./Whitinsville Christian HS) was next in 27:58 followed by freshman Nathan Swaim (Grafton, Mass./Whitinsville Christian HS) in 28:07, freshman Jason Klaasen (Jenison, Mich./Unity Christian HS) in 28:44, sophomore Jack Randall (Hopkington, Mass./Whitinsville Christian HS) in 28:59 and freshman Zach Young (Anchorage, AK/Grace Christian HS) in 89th (29:39).
