Men’s Swimming & Diving Falls at Wheaton

WHEATON, Ill. – The Calvin men's swimming and diving team fell at Wheaton on Saturday afternoon, 169-129. The Knights scored first-place points in five events.

Sophomore Ben Holstege (Keswick, Va./Covenant) won the 100-yard backstroke for Calvin with a time of 51.77.

In the 100-yard breaststroke, senior Eli Holstege (Keswick, Va./Covenant) was victorious at 59.88.

Junior Michael Moentmann (Solon, Ohio/Solon) won on the 1-meter board with a score of 188.55. He also won the 3-meter with a score of 285.65.

Senior Brett Stoughton (Centerville, Ind./Centerville) touched the wall first in the 200-yard IM at 2:04.30.

Freshman Nick Pecoraro (Chicago, Ill./Nazareth Academy) won the 200-yard mixed backstroke at 2:34.10 and freshman Luke Herman (Waterford, Wis./Burlington) was the fastest swimmer in the mixed 100-yard butterfly at 57.18.

The Knights return back to action on Friday when they travel to Wayne State.
