Calvin's Luke Morrison Named MIAA Men's Basketball Player of the Week
For the first time in his collegiate career, Calvin College freshman Luke Morrison has been named the MIAA Men's Basketball Player of the Week.

A native of Bristol, Indiana, Morrison is a graduate of Northridge High School.

In a 105-76 victory over Martin Luther College Friday night, Morrison poured in 24 points on 8-of-17 shooting including 6-of-9 from three-point range. He was also 2-of-2 at the free throw line and credited with four rebounds and two assists.

In a 102-92 loss at Anderson Wednesday night, Morrison had 14 points and three rebounds.

On the week, he averaged 19.0 points, 3.5 rebounds and 2.0 assists-per-game while connecting on 58.,3 percent (7-of-12) of his three-point attempts. 

Morrison leads Calvin in scoring with an average of 16.4 points a game. He was recently named to the Grand Rapids Sports Hall of Fame Classic after averaging 17.5 points a game during the Thanksgiving weekend tournament.
